²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Night at Braves is Sept. 7

University of North Georgia (²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ) students, faculty, staff, alumni, family, and friends will have a chance to enjoy an Atlanta Braves game together for the fourth year in a row. The ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Alumni Association is sponsoring its fourth annual for Atlanta's Sept. 7 game against the Toronto Blue Jays, which is set for 7:20 p.m.
More than 2,000 tickets are available for those connected with ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ to attend the game at Truist Park in Atlanta. The seating is in sections 410-417.
Individual tickets of up to nine guests are $25 each and can be purchased on the . For groups of 10 or more, tickets are $23 each and can be purchased by calling 706-864-1547 or by stopping by the Alumni Relations office at 70 Alumni Drive at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ's Dahlonega Campus. All proceeds will benefit the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association encourages everyone to wear their ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ blue and gold to the Braves game.
The event was initiated by ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Alumni Association board members Nick Miller and James Wright just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Having to pivot for safety, the event was first held in 2021 on Sept. 11 when the Braves faced the Miami Marlins. ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Night at the Braves featured games against the Philadelphia Phillies in 2022 and the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2023.
Alumni Weekend set for April 25-27
²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ's Alumni Weekend is set for April 25-27, including the 54th Alumni Awards banquet, a golf tournament, reunions, musical events, and Reunite.
Leadership luncheon honors 13 women
The ninth annual Women's Leadership Recognition Luncheon honored 10 student leaders and three alumnae March 2 at the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Dining Hall Banquet Room at the Dahlonega Campus.
Luncheon honors scholarship recipients
Five nontraditional female students at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ each earned a $2,000 scholarship from the Women of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ on Dec. 5 at the Women's Holiday Scholarship Luncheon.
Grads prepare for their next steps
²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ will award almost 1,000 degrees and certificates this fall, and more than 600 graduates are scheduled to take part in the Dec. 7 commencement ceremonies.
